Whereas many, if not most, DSA chapters across California organize around Housing Justice in some capacity; and

Whereas sharing our experiences and ideas in a structured but informal setting can help us be more effective, learn from each other and find ideas for future campaigns and initiatives; therefore

Be it resolved that: Starting in February 2026 and continuing until December 2026, CA DSA shall hold a monthly Housing Call, where members active in areas such as tenant organizing, unhoused support, electoral campaigns related to housing and similar within their chapters may meet and exchange ideas and experience; and

Be it further resolved that: The first Housing Call shall be held on Sunday, February 22 at 11am - 12pm with attendees deciding the time, date and facilitators for upcoming meetings amongst themselves; and

Be it further resolved that: The Housing Call shall not be a decision making meeting, and attendance is open to any member who is interested in the topic. Facilitators of the Housing Call shall keep notes of topics discussed and report on their activities to the State Council when requested; and

Be it further resolved that: The State Committee shall be responsible for:

- Giving Zoom access to the Housing Call if needed.

- Sending out a reminder via email to the State Council and Chapter Steering Committees at least 2 days before a Housing Call.

- Ensuring that the initial Housing Call has at least one volunteer facilitator.

The State Committee may appoint volunteers to assist with these tasks as needed.
